Your main goal is to build a castle for the self-proclaimed “Kefling King”. After finishing all that you can in the Ice Kingdom (through building of course), you will eventually travel across the Forest and Desert Kingdoms as well. By assigning different people jobs (ie gatherers, ice miners, bramble cutters, stone miners, and etc) and building onto the Kingdom, you advance through the story. After awakening, the Kefkimos spare no time in telling you about all the different resources scattered about and how things are made in the game. You’re a giant trapped in ice (you play as your XBOX Avatar) and you are freed by the people of the Ice Kingdom known as Kefkimos. While it may have either one of those reasons or a micture of the two, I picked up this game…and yeah, it’s something else. Another reason I picked up this game might have been because I thought getting achievements would be simple, and I really wanted to raise my gamer score. I feel like it was just one of those random things my g/f had downloaded on her XBOX that she decided to show me because she thought that it was fun. This allowed the game to be downloaded and played for free which brought in new players and made the game more popular.I forget what spurred me to play this game. Aside from the core gameplay, three DLC packs were also released and by playing other Avatar FameStar games, players could get even more exclusive content such as Keflings, costumes, and items.įrom November 1 to November 15, 2013, A World For Keflings was released for free as part of Xbox LIVE's Games For Gold Promotion. Both single players and multiplayer game modes were included as well as a Challenge mode and Sharing. The Xbox LIVE Arcade (XBLA) Edition of the game was the main focus and most popular version of the game. Three editions of the game are available for purchase and download on three different systems. The co-op gamemode is exactly the same as the single-player experience but allows for two or more players to conquer the Keflings and for the plot to move along faster.Ĭhallenge mode is a very different mode. The ultimate goal is to help all Kefling areas prosper. The player than travels all over the world to help out Keflings. He is unfrozen by Keflings and instantly becomes their ruler. The player's Avatar is a giant who was frozen solid in the Ice Land. The single player portion of the game is very similar to the plotline of A Kingdom For Keflings.
